Well it’s April 6th
Well it’s April 6th and I am sitting here watching snow fall. That’s right; snow. It’s OK because I feel warm and fuzzy. I just found out I placed first in the Chicago Cup with my English Barleywine. Last week I found out I placed second with my Signal Mountain Cidar in the Chico California competition. I have 4 beers entered in regionals on the 17th and the same day I have three entered in the Black and Tan Competition. We will see how those do. I don’t think the string will hold though because I have now placed in all 5 competitions I have entered. The best thing about competitions is the feedback. I recommend everyone enter a competition at least once because it will make you a better brewer. In other things: what really has me excited is that my wife and I are going to the homeland! It has always been on my bucket list to see U2 in Ireland and I have always told my wife Karen that before I die I want to see them in Dublin. Karen and I went to Ireland in October 2007 and it is true what they say- the Guinness is better in Ireland. Anyway…. U2 just came out with a new CD so I told my wife I wanted to see them in Dublin when they went on tour. I found out tickets were going on sale for U2’s new tour in Dublin. I got up at 4am exactly when they went on sale and by an act of god I GOT THEM! We are going to see U2 in Dublin on July 25th. I will post my beer tasting adventures while there. Bullit The Blue Sky.
